About

William Cox, Cybersecurity Educator

Cyber Warfare Operator & Educator

I am a dedicated Airman and a passionate educator.

I am a cyber warfare operator and educator, dedicated to advancing the field of cybersecurity both in and outside the classroom. As a visiting professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and an instructor at UA Pulaski Technical College, I teach courses in cybersecurity and IT, covering essential topics like network security, ethical hacking, and secure cloud architecture. My goal is to prepare students with the practical skills and critical thinking they'll need to thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.

My research focuses on operational technology (OT) security, workforce development, and the usability of cybersecurity tools for blind and visually impaired (BVI) individuals. I am especially passionate about securing critical infrastructure within OT environments, knowing how vital it is to protect these systems from cyber threats. In workforce development, I emphasize building a pipeline of skilled professionals who can meet the growing demands of the cybersecurity industry. I'm also committed to making cybersecurity tools more accessible for BVI users, as I believe inclusivity strengthens our field and makes it more resilient.

Bringing together my experience in cyber warfare operations and my commitment to accessible, real-world education, I aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice in my teaching, helping students develop a well-rounded approach to cybersecurity.
